“A former colleague of mine was helping me raise money for a refugee trying to get his education paid for through a gofundme page. This was in 2016. He said he knew you and he might convince you to do a charity gig to raise funds.
For lots of reasons it never happened. I didn’t know who you were at the time. Apologies.
The refugee is now fully recognised as a dentist and now looking for work. Seven years and extraordinary sacrifices along the way.
But this is about you. Brilliant conversations. Helps with the walks, allotment and sometimes tedious radio 4.
Perhaps talk to ordinary Asians occasionally. I can’t imagine who I mean…
