As part of the University of Chicago event on September 30, 2015, marking the announcement of the landmark $100 million gift from The Thomas L. Pearson and The Pearson Family Members Foundation, UChicago held an academic symposium showcasing the work of leading scholars pursuing data-driven research in the study of violent conflict. The generosity of The Pearson Family Foundation creates The Pearson Institute for the Study and Resolution of Global Conflicts and The Pearson Global Forum.
