“I love the pod & absolutely love hearing you guys when you show up as guests on other quality nfl shows & truly enjoy seeing you interact live with Collinsworth & the other PFF personalities during the draft and other events! Thank you for the terrific content!
Question: Does PFF collect data on the usage of defensive schemes being used in the NFL & would this data be valuable removed from personnel?
For instance, there’s been a lot of talk about how the Seattle D scheme being run by a handful of teams is outmoded & perhaps at the end of its lifeline, despite SF running some version of it and having obvious success this past year but you can also look @ the Chargers and the Falcons and see it getting beat on a regular basis. How many teams are still running it vs say a Tampa 2 or what NE is running? Is there enough data to determine if there’s a big difference in defensive metrics when comparing those systems or perhaps
Looking at the effectiveness of a 3-4 front vs a 4-3 etc? I’d love to hear you guys dork out talking about schemes and alignments & forecasting where you think the league is going! Thanks!
