“Alan Saunders does know his philosophy, and he does know how to address a general, intelligent audience. I’m a philosopher, and I’ve been lucky on the program a few times. I’m regularly amazed at how Alan gets difficult concepts across to a general audience — without either getting lost in endless detail or jargon, or dumbing down and getting away from what’s important in the ideas. The program is just super. I listen to it to keep up with what is happening elsewhere in the profession, and to see how colleagues and friends explain their own ideas to a general audience. I learn from each and every episode. It’s one of my few weekly must-listen podcasts. I hope the ABC keeps it going forever!”
