The style just rubbed me the wrong way
There are good insights that do come out of these but the interview style just feels super butt-kissy. I think if the host worked on listening, the flow could be improved quite a bit and the conversations would feel more natural. Right now it feels like he's got a list of questions in front of him and he's just waiting for them to be done with that question so he can ask his next question. Sometimes it really derails the flow because the next question isn't really related so you get a guest that is going great, and there's a breather and instead diving more into what they're obviously passionate about he gets almost anxious and steers things in a whole new unrelated direction. The questions aren't tailored really to the guest so a lot of times that means switching topics steers it from something where there is good insight to something super generic.

Great podcast, the one with Peter Hurley was amazing. Also enjoyed the one with Peach Tree Photo repair, great info. I had a chance to meet Bill at Texas School and what a great guy. I love the longer ones with more depth.

Bill's relaxed style and humor make the time with his guest pass by way too fast. I am always left...Read full review »
