Excellent content for newbies or veteran banjo pickers!
With no musical background at all, I decided at age 52 that I wanted to play the banjo when I grow up. Now six months in, I feel as though I’m progressing nicely. I’ve found that I have a near insatiable appetite to learn as much about the history of the banjo, as well as tips to help improve my playing. The Picky Fingers Podcast has helped to quench my appetite with well thought out content, commentary, history, and playing tips. Getting to hear the stories of those who have “made it”, and to hear the trials that they went through to get there is priceless. Thank you for this great podcast, and by the way, it would be great to hear from Marc Pruett of Balsam Range. He is the inspiration behind my desire to learn to play!

Just found this great podcast. Love anything and everything banjo…and this podcast doesn’t disappoint. It will be a museum if interviews of some of the best that ever was. Disappointed that this didn’t start before Earl passed away.

Keith gets very deep into these interviews. I consider myself an intermediate player, and there's a good mix of content ranging from beginner to advanced. There are basic tips and sage advice from the many interviews!Read full review »
