Fun but flawed
An engaging format and often entertaining. Started strongly and covered early Mid East history with a light hand yet considerable accuracy. It was once he entered the Old Testament period that the podcast shifted from actual history to pure mythology; including a lot of stories that we now know to be utter fantasy. No mention, for example, that the first recorded appearance of Israelites in Egypt wasn't until some 500 years after the pyramids had been built, and then they arrived in the form of a Regiment sent by the Persians to help protect the Nile Delta against pirates. Isn't that a story worth telling?

My new favorite podcast! I listen to this while performing mindless tasks at work. Very well researched, production is good and his voice isn't annoying like a few other history podcasts I've downloaded (bonus!). Keep the updates coming Mr. Monaco!! <3 :DRead full review »

Honestly one of the top podcasts I listen to. Well researched, the history of the world is presented in an entertaining, compelling, and frequently funny way. Great for those who have a lot of knowledge about the world's history, and those who have just begun the journey!
