Turning poison into medicine: How this podcast helped change my life.
I started listening to this podcast casually back in 2000. I would listen to it while I was working as a cinematographer. I started shooting 3D imaging for vacancies during covid. It would always put me in a better mood, and challenged me to have a positive outlook on life. In July of 2022 my life ultimately changed. My dog, and my best friend died within a few years of each other, and I never learned how to process grief. As a former rugby player, I was taught to play through pain, and I never confronted grief, depression, and anger. In July my wife (14 years) left me. I was using her love as an emotional band aid, and was in survival mode. I neglected her emotionally and physically which ultimately led her to leave me with out word, I was not allowed to contact her. I could not control the situation, and it drove me crazy. I was left to confront the negativity in my life that led to her decision. On one of my sleepless nights, this podcast started playing in my pocket. I haven’t listened to it in many months, and the episode was “Drop the Oars and let the Universe take control”, (7/23/22) by Dr. Erica Middleness. It blew me away. I listened to it on repeat for about 5 hours. It became the catalyst to the journey I am now on. In a few short months of religiously listening to every episode, I began to search inward. I started to become self aware and mindful, and from that I started meditating. I reached out to all modalities of healing. At burning man of 2022, I searched out Shamans, healers, light workers, trying to make sense of everything in my life. I even looked for Brandon’s camp to no avail. As a camp leader, I was the last one leaving from my camp. The last day when I was about to leave I ran into a person that invited me to a plant medicine ceremony. I booked a QHHT appt with Erica, and all these modalities started to shape the man I am now. I lost 100lbs, changed my diet, but most importantly rewired my neural network from a negative way of thinking to a positive forward mindset. There are still ups and downs, and when I am falling off my spiritual regimen, episodes of this Podcast always hit home, and revive my passion to reach my higher self. Thank you so much for doing this podcast. You have no idea how much it means to me. After years of hearing you asking for reviews, I wanted to follow through and let you know how much it means to me. As I am writing this, I have happy tears rolling down my face. Thank you so much, I am eternally grateful for you. I hope one day I will be a guest on the show, as I am writing a book about my journey!! I am so grateful for you guys and this show!!!

I have a 30 min commute to work each day and I really look forward to the drive. I'm a new listerner and so far it's great. They talk about all the things I'm interested in and the whole show is put together very well.Read full review »
