Power Project Episode #59: The Flip Side of Loneliness with Monica Rivera
Listen now
Description
This week, Brandi sits down with Monica Rivera, host of You Wanna Do What Podcast and Purpose Strategist. Monica and I talk about the importance of owning your story and living in the present rather than the land of “one day”. Monica talks about losing her mother at the age of 16 and then the rest of her family within 7 years. She shares with us her journey of overcoming loneliness through curiosity and exploration which leads to becoming your own best friend. Monica gave a TedX talk over this top called “The Flip Side of Loneliness.’’ Monica talks about the struggle of walking through the pain and eventually realizing that she couldn’t do everything on her own anymore and that she needed to re-introduce herself to therapy and faith. Through podcasting Monica has realized that a person’s purpose can evolve and change and serve the very season they are in specifically. You can find Monica on youwannadowhat.com where you can listen to the “You Wanna Do What Podcast” and hear more information about her new project “Podcast With Confidence” which is a group podcast coaching service.
