Power Project Episode #81: Dear 38 Year Old Me
Listen now
Description
TEN YEARS AGO: Thirty Eight, The Year I will never forget. I have to think hard as to what I did for my birthday last year. But, I bet I never forget the year I spent my birthday in quarantine. I have been planning this episode all year! I couldn’t wait to share what all has changed in the past ten years of my life. I couldn’t wait to share with my network how I had once felt it was too late to step into my purpose, but found out that it’s certainly not! This month should be a whirlwind for me right now! And, I should be telling you about everything that I have going on.
I know that we are all going through this together, and everyone is navigating their own trials right now. No one is truly unaffected, and I’m sure that some of you out there are feeling the same way I am. I have found myself feeling incredibly aimless right now and feel like rather than achieving, I am simply floating. So, for this episode, I took a literal page out of my own book where my 38 year old self tells my 19 year old self everything is going to be okay. Hopefully one day, my 76 year old self will be able to remind my 38 year old self that it all turned out great. I hope it helps you because, it actually helped me a lot. We have to remember to trust the path that He is leading us on. Micah 6:8 teaches us how to actually walk with God. DO JUSTICE: Living Relationally with God and one another in the natural creation. Reach out to neighbors, friends, and family to see how you can help them. Maybe they just need to talk, maybe they need groceries or medication, maybe they need help operating an online platform. LOVE KINDNESS: Loving the act of being warmhearted, considerate, humane, and sympathetic. Remember that when this is all over, we are still each other’s neighbors. There will be differing opinions, theories, beliefs, but we can choose to differ in a kind manner.
WALK WITH GOD: How do you walk with someone? You share conversation that includes your immediate surroundings. You comment how beautiful a flower or sunset is. You talk about what is currently going on in your life. You share your concerns, fears, hopes. You experience the walk relationally with them.
