“Even medicated it’s hard to keep up, stay focused, and fully understand much of Tolkien’s work for those among us with racing minds and restless hands. Though beautiful, his prose can be just a tad long winded for the impatient among us.
The prancing pony podcast does a great job of breaking things down in to manageable pieces without “dumbing down” the material. Great for novice nerds and obsessive Tolkien scholars alike, seeking to get a better understanding of the “middle earth universe”.
The hosts are knowledgeable and passionate. Their palpable “word nerd” glee when discussing the in-world linguistics is endearing and relatable to fellow ‘linguaphiles’.
Currently binging while throwing pottery, enduring long commutes, and deep clean our rental properties. Thanks guys! Keep it up!”
