Discourages Back-Up Plans to Med School
I like Dr. Gray; I listed to his podcast for months while I was applying to medical school. Now, I’m in, and that’s partially because of his *mostly* great advice. However, he advises premeds to eschew backup plans because it makes them “less serious” applicants. I personally think that’s irresponsible because sixty percent of pre-meds will not get admitted to a med school. If you listen to this podcast, just remember that it’s the opinion of one person. You are better off seeking advice from larger, public institutions that are held accountable for their statements and that do not make money off of guiding premeds.

I always find this podcast helpful. A lot of insights and great interviewees. Sometimes I hope this podcast doesn't takeoff because then the admission process will be even more rigorous because of the golden nuggets of information in this podcast.Read full review »

I find virtually all of your podcasts terrific. Thank you for demystifying the pre-med-post processes! I particularly enjoyed this one since it was most relevant to my current step.
