Poorly Organized, Talk About Themselves TOO MUCH
I am over eight minutes into episode 28 and you’re still advertising. I can go to the office of any white male professor in my department and have a conversation about academia with less self promotion and self absorption that this — and that’s saying something. I know and respect what you’re trying to do and that you need to make a living. That said, you need to take some of your own criticisms to heart because at this point you’re no different from the people you’re criticizing. Focus on your audience, not yourselves. Second, your episodes have become increasingly difficult to follow. I think this is likely because you don’t edit enough. Instead, listeners have to try to follow tangent after tangent. Figure out what you want to say and then say it. A conversational tone is good, but the message has to still be discernible. It’s not, and although I think that what you’re trying to say is probably valuable, I can get the message in a much more straightforward way from other sources.

Karen and Kel don’t sugarcoat and they give such good information in their podcasts. My only qualm with the series overall is...Read full review »
