Love this podcast - huge help to me
I was so excited when I heard about this podcast on one of Chris’ other pods. He has a great voice, is a good story teller, and I have huge sleep issues so this series seemed right up my alley. I’d describe it as an adult version of Uncle Traveling Matt’s postcards from Fraggle Rock. Soothing sounds in the background, fantastical tales of wonder set in exotic locales, and a calm voice narrating. I have issues with anxiety and generally wake up in the wee hours with a racing heart and am unable to shut my brain off to relax and go back to sleep. I’ve found that if I pop in my air pods and start listening to one of these episodes when that happens it slows my brain down and I’m able to doze off again for another few hours. Besides being entertaining overall it’s actually been a huge gift to regain some control over my brain again and I can’t recommend it enough.

I know he’s a professor but I think he’s also a wizard because he magically makes me fall asleep every single time. I don’t think I have ever heard a whole podcast all the way through and yet, I hear enough to still know what is going on from episode to episode.
