“I’ve listened to quite a few racing-themed podcasts, but this one just beats them all. Love how each of the presenters makes up the whole that this show is. For example, the age difference that Toby, Simon and Val have which creates a unique combination of interesting takes on the current state of the sport. Love it when they disagree on certain things as well as support each other’s views.
The addition of listener questions is just gold. It turned me from a follower to a loyal fan when I had my question answered. The fact that questions are recorded by listeners and played without editing just makes it so much more authentic. The questions come up only when there’s room for them (like on the off weeks with no racing), which doesn’t make this entire part of the show feel somewhat forced.
So, what we get here in short:
- great chemistry between the hosts (check)
- variety of perspectives on the sport (check)
- well-balanced community engagement (check)
- just the right amount of banter per episode (check)
