“There are many things I have enjoyed on this podcast.
They’ve Interviewed folks of all sorts of backgrounds, many of whom are at the forefront of finance academia and research (such as Prof. Fama or folks at Dimensional). The conversations are often, if not always, based on concrete research, especially financial research.
Some highlights from me have been:
1. Interview with Prof Eugene Fama, co-creator of the Fama-French three factor model and contributor to the efficient market hypothesis.
2. An interview with the author of Time Smart, Prof Ashley Whillans. This interview and excerpts of the book really challenged how I think of time and money.
3. Ben’s amazing paper on Finding and Funding a good Life. It’s a paper that summarizes key research findings related to happiness, regret, hedonic adaptation, sports cars, renting versus buying.
I also love their open mindedness, humility and willingness to learn. Ben and Cameron aren’t afraid to admit they don’t know something or that they just learned something.
Thanks for being bold about your crypto series. I am skeptical of different aspects of crypto but I think it’s important to understand view points in the space, if only to properly give good advice to those who may be caught up. As much as I am skeptical of crypto there are applications such as the African finance company SendCash which helps people send money to African countries.
Thought I’d give this review to encourage you and everyone working behind the scenes on the podcast. Please keep up the good work and I should really get something from the store lol!
