“I’m disappointed to see that no cycling magazine outlet is talking about the subject matter of domestic violence with the Rohan Dennis story. Ignoring this matter perpetuates abuse. As a woman cyclist, I experience misogyny and sexism repeatedly. Please do an article about this topic and do not sweep this under the rug. Melissa Hoskins endured abuse with this man. She gave up her own career for his. Let’s talk about this dynamic openly. Stop being a “bro” platform and include women’s experience in the peloton if you want to make us feel seen and welcomed and included. These are very real topics we encounter as women in the cycling world. The unequal levels of power in the peloton need to be discussed openly so we can have an opportunity to heal this.”
