too much talking, interviews are 25% of the episode
I definitely think the Relevant podcast is a great idea, and they really do have a wide assortment of guests to speak to different subjects. However, the first 30-40 minutes are just chit chat between the hosts (and it’s not entertaining or groundbreaking subject matter, it feels more annoying than anything), leaving the interview to 20-25 minutes. I feel like it’s better time spent to look for interviews with the guests on other shows who actually spend that episode engaging with the featured guest. Otherwise, skip more than halfway into the episode and you might land near the last quarter of the show on an advertisement, and the guest will come after that. It kind of feels like false advertisement because the interviews are cut so short and lack much conversation and depth due to the time.
