The abilities and accessibility of communications technology today evolve at a breathless pace. These sweeping changes affect every facet of human life, including the way people create and communicate collective change. Using the recent democratic uprising in Egypt as a case study, the Arab American National Museum and Michigan Radio present The Revolution is Online: Social Media + Arab World Uprisings. This panel discussion allows the public to hear from individuals who witnessed and took part in recent events in Egypt and continue to visit the region to document events and assist in reforms. The panelists offer the public a unique inside perspective on a history-making event that continues to develop and reverberate worldwide, and the role that technology, in particular social media, has played in it.
