On being down with the Clown
ICP is a rap duo who have created a following that no other musicians have been able to duplicate. They have even garnered the attention of the government who had legally classified their following as an organized gang. What do we truly know about the Insane Clown Posse? What impact have they created in this country... no... in this world. We underestimate the economic role that ICP plays in America. They single handedly saved a failing carbonated beverage company as well as keep face paint businesses afloat 11 out of 12 months in the year. They create janitorial jobs with every show played. Not even the floors of your local porn shop can match the stickiness that can only be created by the liters upon liters of Faygo purposefully and accidentally spilled upon the ground. It takes a fair amount of man power to remove all that sugar. Steel prices fluctuate between album releases and though further observation is required, one could reach the conclusion that hatchet sales have an impact on the steel industry. And let us not look over their introspective values. Name another rap duo who created a carnival themed philosophy of self judgement. I’ll wait. They have borrowed themes from Christianity and Buddhism, using your actions in life to determine what punishment or reward the Dark Carnival™️ will put your immortal soul through. A vision and philosophy that only those who god sees as worthy have witnessed (Moses, Joseph Smith, Violent J). Their observations of this world are also something to behold. In their smash hit, Miracles, we are treated to examples such as stars, the sky, mountains, trees, the seven seas, everything chilling underwater, hot lava, snow, rain, fog, long neck giraffes, pet cats, dogs, 85,000 people, the birth of ones own children, the sun, the moon, the Milky Way, shooting stars, UFOs, river flows, planting a seed and watching it grow, Niagara Falls, pyramids, rainbows, cellphone eating pelicans, water, fire, air, dirt, magnets, solar eclipses, vicious weather, 15,000 more people, caterpillars turning into butterflies, Shaggy 2 Dope’s children who look like Shaggy 2 Dope, Violent J’s own children who look like Violent J. All things that are unexplainable to science. They are an anomalous phenomenon that we have only begun to understand.

Y’all should review the new Slipknot album We Are Not Your Kind. It’s probably one of their heaviest, and definitely has it’s Iowa moments. Would love for you to check it out!

I have recently discovered this show in the last two weeks and I'm pretty sure I've blown through 3/4th of the episodes. As an angry young teenager in the late 90s/early aughts you know I loved nu-metal. Unfortunately I don't have any one to talk to about this topic so thank god for...Read full review »
