The perfect reassessment of Nu Metal
Nu Metal was a genre I grew up with and was initially obsessed with. At a certain point I, like many people, soured on it. This podcast helped me reconcile my early love with the hatred I later developed. I’ve listened to every episode and it’s caused me to soften a bit. I now have a new appreciation for a band like Static-X, which is something I never thought I’d be saying at 30. While the show is definitely about Nu Metal it’s also about being a more openminded listener. The hosts keep things light and funny but don’t shy away from critiquing the uglier aspects of the genre. Also, this podcast is even better if you grew up in Michigan when this stuff was big.

ICP was my first club concert, not by choice, so I...Read full review »
