Finding Answers
I am a 4 on the Enneagram and an Associate in Marriage and Family Therapy in California. I have been fascinated with the Enneagram for years, but felt as if I hit a plateau in my discovery. Thank your doing this podcast. I still have a lot to listen to.... but so quickly, many of the questions I have been seeking answers to have been provided (and more). Briefly sharing one of the most impactful thoughts for me: “We all need both our stress and security numbers. Without my stress number I would not have the energy to do what I love to do.” As a 4 therapist I have struggled with letting my 2 space into the therapy room. I have criticized myself for being the helper or wanting patients to like me. This revelation of needing my stress number is huge. It is so true that in 4 space and 1 space, I would not have the energy to continue being a therapist week after week. I need the 2, the desire to help others, to keep me doing what I love. Sure I need to watch my reasoning for which intervention or feedback I give (ex. Doing something because they might like me vs. doing it because it is what they need), but I want to stop criticizing myself for moving towards 2.... because that is still part of accepting myself as a 4. Thank you for all that you do! Both of you have been inspirations in your journeys, in sharing your journeys, and walking along side others in their journeys. I hope one day I can be where you are. Blessings, Clara

For me, the connection between the two hosts makes this feel like an honest conversation that we as listeners have been invited to join. The podcast adds...Read full review »

I have been listening to this podcast although it hasn’t been going on for two years. I didn’t care for the first guest because of the cussing. I would’ve been fine if it was once or twice but it was more than that. And I think that because this podcast is supposed to be a Christian podcast, I...Read full review »
