Description
For a woman who grew up poor, she couldn't have turned out any richer … in spirit. With the will power to want to change and set straight what is right for the goodness of not only our community, but injustice anywhere, we honor June Kjome. She was a dedicated nurse and longtime activist who spent 19 years in South Africa treating the sick and needy. For over 40 years, June Kjome has been hard at work on streets and in offices protesting and participating in marches, which shows her over towering integrity and powerful heart used to serve people.
