Blimey
They’re not the most articulate people, footballers, but by Christ, listening to these two butcher the English language and rinse the cliche book dry hour after hour will have you speaking like them yourself after a while. I listened to two episodes straight and couldn’t stop my inner monologue from saying ‘in all fairness...’ and ‘not a chance...’, ‘my goodness, Robbie....’, ‘I love ‘im to bits...’ and ‘is he someone that...’, and ‘that tells me that....’ before launching into a bit of tedious bantz. The carragher episode was the best. These two shared time on Jamie’s podcast before Christmas, so “we’re not going to go retread that ground, my goodness”, before then spending 90 minutes with pretty much the same anecdotes and bantz you’ve heard before. Honestly, you think nothing of significance would happen in a footballers entire career the way the same stories get repeated. As for Robbie...jeez, fella. It’s ARCHETYPAL, not “architectural” 🤣 My goodness, though, they’ll give a podcast to anyone these days, in all fairness, not a chance. Please, just do a bit of work and come up with a few original questions to create a bit of an angle or a unique approach. Thing is, though I like it and can’t stop listening to it. Weird.

Juergen Klopp and Graham Souness are obviously big names but for a true footballing journey and experience the interview with Joey Barton is gold. Whether you agree or not with him or respect him as a person, his view and honesty is compelling listening. Being a Liverpool and Robbie Fowler fan...Read full review »
