The DUFF is a 2015 high school teen rom com directed by Air Sandel. Based on the 2010 novel by Kody Keplinger.  The Duff is the story of Bianca played by Mae Whitman. Bianca is a high school senior from Atlanta, she has two best friends Jess and Casey played by Skyler Samuels and Bianca Santos. After an abrupt run in with Bianca’s hearthrob neighbour Wesley played by Robbie Amell and his girlfriend Madison played by Bella Thorne, Bianca learns a terrible truth… Bianca… is the DUFF of her friend group. The Duff being the quote ‘designated ugly fat friend’. Upon learning this, Bianca ditches her friends and sets out with Wesley to reclaim her identity and score a date with Toby Tucker, played by Nick Eversman.
