dragged down by poor interviewing
decently informative, but so much time is spent on shaky interviews (both man-on-the-street style and prepared). in both instances, the host asks long-winded, leading questions that seem to occasionally baffle the participants. more importantly, in planned interviews sometimes a tough question is asked and the participant dodges it but there’s no follow up or facting-checking (either live or after the fact, to put certain answers in perspective). if the purpose of this podcast is to just have the Average American stand in front of a mic and explain who they’re voting for, the podcast is decent. completely out of its depth when addressing anything close to how the sausage is made of campaigning and 2024’s specific miasma

More reviews of The Run-Up
Just listened to the podcast about why people distrust Hillary. I take the facts as true, but the analysis was conjecture, said more politely, but basically no different from the talking heads on cable news. They give no data whatsoever to back up their conclusions.

Well though out and well executed. This is one of the few podcasts that gets me excited when a new episode comes in. Keep up the good work.

I like that this podcast is serious and not too drawn out. They are very informative and to the point. I look forward to seeing this podcast develop and hope it continues after the election.
