Great show, great host
Astead Herndon is a terrific interviewer. He’s very disarming and gets people to open up to him because, it seems to me, he’s honestly curious about their point of view. In this sense, I think his gift is that he’s just an old journalist. Refreshing!

For the New York Times, this podcast is remarkably boring and in some cases just wrong. In discussions of Trump voters, they ignore the recent Gallup study and instead interview an author who just grew up in Kentucky. Excellent interviews with very thoughtful people - many of whom are on the NYT staff. I hope more podcasts of this quality are in the works.
