“Teddy has a really good sense for the potential market for this podcast. Many people are interested in cruising on a sailboat, and almost universally, the first questions they ask are about money. I myself share this interest, and was happy to find this podcast.
Listening to the first several episodes, the content is interesting, but it does not go much beyond that. Of course everyone has their own life, and every story will be different. What lacks, are nuts and bolts ideas anyone can take away from the stories. Sure there are some scattered throughout, but I think more of the show should be spent on this. I enjoy hearing about where someone went, and all the fun they had, but it really doesn’t stay on the topic of how to finance the cruising dream.
Lastly, there is the execution of the interviews themselves. They are at times absolutely painful to listen to. Teddy, I love your passion and desire to do this, but PLEASE, take a journalism course or something. Even do some self study of what makes a good interviewer. Your audience is not incompetent. You don’t need to repeat everything the interviewee says in 3 different ways. Admittedly I have only listened to the first 10 or so, and I really hope it gets better over time. Again this is a great idea, it just lacks execution.”
