“I’m new to the saltwater hobby. I’m currently cycling my Waterbox Reef 220.6! Life made me take a break from aquariums for several years (former keeper of African cichlids). Jeff and his podcast/YouTube channel have been great at providing me with the good, the bad and the ugly of reef keeping. I’ve gained a lot of great nuggets from Jeff.
I appreciate how he isn’t afraid to share insight gained from past mistakes. He wants to help new reefers have as smooth of a process into the hobby and navigate the challenges ahead. I’ve learned about how to handle certain reef problems that I haven’t experienced yet. I always enjoy him diving into articles or interesting topics on reef2reef as well. He’s introduced me to a lot of really cool fish, inverts and corals through his top 10s. His stocking plan episode has helped me get a solid game plan which I’m hoping to execute soon.
