Those of you that have been here for the past few months might remember I started reading the Sister's of Battle codex. When I did that I injected my thoughts and ideas into the reading, but this is more of a straight read.

A lot of the time these podcasts devolve into Del complaining, and it gets old. No one wants to hear that, not even us. So we're going to take a little break from the podcasts, focus on other things, and maybe come back at them later on.

If someone does a thing you dislike, does that mean you shouldn't take part in things that person does? For example, if a fan of the Seahawks commits a crime does that mean you shouldn't be a fan of the Seahawks or the NFL?

Burnout is real, mental fatigue is real, and we're lucky to be able to take breaks if needed. Del has been feeling worn out, beat up, and drained from working with so much more of the simple-minded general public. It's taking a toll and he needs a break.

People get upset when the things they love change. Understandable. Vera and Del talk about why that isn't helpful and what you can do to embrace the suck. They talk about the Magic format they made up as well.

Note-to-self: Don't use Picture-Profile-9. Good grief, this is awful. We'll be going back to PP10 after this. Why is it so grey? So washed out? Goodness. Sorry about that, people.

This isn't going to be a regular thing. But we wanted to have a little chat. We'll be releasing another episode on Saturday as well as this one, and be on the look out for the upcoming 2-player Dungeons and Dragons podcast we have planned.

Boy oh boy. 2020 has been a doozy of a year, huh? Del and Vera talk about the upcoming election and how people like to stay comfy.

Del and Vera talk about the Netflix movie Cuties, and other stuff. Should Cuties have been made? It depends on what you mean when you ask that. Should the subject matter be tackled? Sure, why not. But does Cuties do a good job of shedding light on a problem? Not really.

Always try and improve, there's no such thing as a happy plateau. There's always more to learn, see, do, and overcome. Work on something, change your thinking, and accept that where you are is not where you could be.

This one doesn't really have a point. We talk about this and that, but fail to remain on any one topic.

After Summer is a story about change. About how choices are influenced by both things we have no control over and those that we do. It's a story about life and death and what we'll become when we die.
