From me to you
Ok I’m just about to lay the bomb for you guys. I have listen to almost all your podcasts and I’m so grateful you guys put yourselves out there for parents like me struggling with a special needs child. There is a lot of good info in your podcast hands down. Now I’m having a hard time following you cause you guys can get a bit off track and I Feel like at some points it’s a total waist of time plus you go off subject so much it’s hard to follow. I feel you have nothing written down to follow and rumble about A and B and you are just not getting to the point. There are a lot of long pauses telling me you guys have no plan. Also, maybe if you give more examples of situations it would defenetly help find more answers in my case. Sometimes it sounds like you are only talking to other OTs and we are parents we can’t just hear it once and it’s done. Repeat the meaning of whatever you are talking about not just the initials. Another thing I want to mention is you guys keep saying “it’s just so hard” over and over again and it’s so annoying!!! We don’t need anyone to tell us it’s hard! We know it’s hard, we are in the middle of it all you guys!!! Please tell us is hard if you wish but also immediately after tell us we can do it!!! We need encouragement more than anything. No someone to tell us “it’s so so so hard and tricky” Also I was listening to the podcast today and one of you mention the situation of when a kid doesn’t know how to play with a toy and one of you said “it’s crazy!!” Guys!!! It’s not crazy. Please please don’t label things like that it’s very hurtful and even though I don’t have such child I hurt for the momma that does! She’s not crazy neither is her child. It is what it is and let’s not call it names. Anyway, I’m telling you all this in hopes of positive changes not in a negative way. I will for sure keep listening and praying for you guys. Thank you for your time!!!

My son is an extreme sensory seeker. I was lost. I didn’t understand his needs or how to deal with them. I fell about this podcast and I’m so happy I did. So real, helpful, and encouraging. These two ladies are amazing.
