Feels like a breakup
I loved Emily for years, absorbing her content across channels and mediums, implementing her strategies, and purchasing impactful products from Simplified or those she recommends elsewhere. I was a total fangirl. Unfortunately it feels like the brand is moving away from its simplicity focus - there’s excessive product pushes, collaborations, and 3rd party link promoting (how many Draper James dresses are best/favorite/necessary?!). Content requires subscriptions when Emily used to promote scaling back on subscriptions, and there are too many voices on an unfocused podcast (I can see adding 1 voice, but 3?!). It’s like becoming Emily’s version of an “it girl” has become more important than the original message that I loved and am craving. I am truly sad to lose my go-to resource for simplicity and grace-filled content, which used to positively impact how I approached my life.
