“Hello, my name is TJ, and I’ve been a social worker in the child welfare field for 10 years. I am currently in my second year of coursework pursuing my MSW at the University of Illinois in the USA. I thoroughly enjoy listening to the diverse slew of speakers you have on the podcast. I also enjoy your reflections on the content and your takes on various trends/topics related to social work. One of my favorite things about your podcast is listening to the experiences, expertise and approaches of other social workers in professional areas I am unfamiliar with. Those social workers serving the elderly, those with significant disabilities, in the medical setting, and in jails. The areas of expertise of your guests is expansive. I’ve been able to use this podcast as a sort of tool to stimulate my professional creativity. Working with children in the foster care system is a strenuous but crucial task. This podcast has helped me find new ways to be empathetic and caring. I’m consistently making mental notes on the successful approaches many of the social workers have implemented.
Also, I must add, the technical components of the show are on point. The music is tasteful and not overwhelming. The audio and structure of your episodes are both exceptional and pleasantly simple. This really helps with making the content you produce the star of the show.
Thank you, Lis, Mim, the rest of the team, and guests.”
