Her body was found 2 years later, Her father, Tim Miller found that he didn't get the cooperation from the local law enforcement that he thought he should. They labeled her as a runaway and didn't take her disappearance as serious. The frustration that Tim encountered eventually got him to found a search organization called Texas Equusearch which has helped thousands of parents find their missing children. Tim's organization has been involved in some of the most high profile cases in the world - Natalee Holloway and Caylee Anthony. In this episode of The Sound of Crime, Tim Miller details the story of his daughter's murder, the less-than enthusiastic investigation by local law enforcement and the 35 year history leading up to the status of the investigation and who TIm thinks killed his daughter.
