Tone deaf
I unfortunately shared the podcast with a friend who lives in Philly before ever listening to an episode. I was excited! When I did listen, it described Philly as going from “blue collar” to “sophisticated” and featured stories of a Brooklynite (for example) that was bringing new businesses to south Philly. What businesses and communities were there before? The show seems tone deaf to the gentrification that accompanies this new “boom” SMH!

This podcast is a good idea in theory but not in execution. It feels like an ad, interpersed with details about the city being featured. It feels a little inauthentic and forced. I would expect better from the Infatuation and T Brand.

I liked the idea of learning about different cities through their history, food and culture, but this podcast doesn’t deliver on the promise. It feels very surface level. There are too many quality podcasts available to waste any more time with this one.

Good show for foodies. I enjoyed the minneapolis episode and might checkout Alma next time i'm there.Read full review »
