The appeal wears off fast
The appeal of this podcast wears off faster than your new heels. This is a podcast for shoe/boot nerds but the hosts have lost their intrigue for boots. Occasionally they have great guests on but Ben will ramble on a tangent for 5 minutes about a random personal anecdote. Ben also runs his mouth about topics, spewing opinions and word vomit as if they’re the truth. (e.g. May podcast: top eyelet on PNW boots are for security or fit when they’re actually for a loggers knot, overdye overlaps with tea ore when poor colour fastness/technique of the overdying process is why overdyed boots change colour quickly; pigments vs dye or non-polar content in the leather is rejecting the new finish) I appreciate the conversation about boots and leather. However, it feels like they’re talking to fill a hour-slot but they also can’t seem to manage a consistent schedule. I suggest to do more preparation and research on topics and cut down on the rambling.

The amount of people that are part of this heritage community that didn’t grow up with real problems is obvious. If you’re willing to overpay so much for something, and not even acknowledge the opposing argument, it’s evident how you are as a person. Maybe it’s not that deep, but that’s just what...Read full review »
