Bad production ruining an interesting story

“The story is intriguing and I’d like to keep listening, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to make it past the terrible production. The narration is so quiet it’s inaudible unless I crank the volume way up, and then the sound effects are SO LOUD. On top of that, the sound effects are always something both corny and unpleasant, like a piercing scream or disgusting eating sounds.”
