This week we welcome long time Triangle sports hosts Joe Ovies! (@joeovies) We talk through Joe's career - shoutout to his dad, time at WKNC (NCSU Radio), 850 the Buzz, 99.9 the Fan) and more. He was the long time producer for Adam Gold, and was around during the time of the Sports Pig (Morgan Patrick) and Sports Bar (Mike Solarte). He and Joe Giglio now have their own podcast which is the same format as their show, but in a 1 hour format (No fluff, just the good stuff) (OVIES + GIGLIO) We also talk about the Caniacs, "non-traditional" markets (and what does that really mean?), and how the Caniacs ALWAYS show up when asked. The Canes have been in Raleigh now longer than they were in Hartford, and for half of the franchise's entire lifespan going back to Boston. We move on to Canes vs Florida and what's going on in the 2023 Eastern Conference Finals and expectations going forward, etc.
