“Gentle parenting from a Christian perspective. Our parenting is deeply tied to our faith. Our biggest reason for striving to be gentle parents is that we believe that is how God relates to us—with compassion, mercy, grace, unconditional love. He draws us toward him through love, never coercive control. If we as parents are our children’s first picture of God, do we want them to see Him as a God of love or a God of conditional acceptance, ready to punish when they mess up? I appreciate that this podcast also acknowledges that love has boundaries! Gentle does not mean permissive. Love every podcast I have listened to so far, and I can’t wait to hear future topics!”
