“I was waiting to find out how Tommy got on in California. I was in LA in September visiting my son Malachy and his family. What a blast. Mal is a writer/producer trying to make his way in LA I am so proud. Living in Tyrone you don’t think this is possible. Like yourself Tommy/Laurita I feel the same about USA. In 2018 my partner of 25 yrs We got a bus from Omagh flew to NY got married in Manhattan it was amazing. I felt like a 16 year old on a mad adventure. The kids were not pleased but hey hoo. But LA was something else swam in Malibu with my grand daughter Juliette. Met Liam Gallagher ..still buzzing. More than anything I wore a Sinead O’Connor T-shirt. An guy stopped me to admire my T-shirt. He said Sinead was a saint. The most important gift was being with my family but also meeting so many hispanic/indigenous families. Kind friendly beautiful people it was they who made me feel safe and welcome. Pity I didn’t meet you Tommy in LA cos then we all would have had a party. Just had to share as nobody in Tyrone wants to listen. Good times”
