Sad to say: Skip it
This podcast really wants to be Old Gods of Appalachia, and as a PNW resident I really wanted it to be good, but the writing, narration, and production values just aren’t up to snuff. The most irritating part to me is that the writer goes on some of the same long multitangent sentences that the OGoA guy does... but he doesn’t actually finish the sentence in a grammatically correct way. It’s just left as a fragment or hanging clause, really immersion-breaking for those who want to get swept up in the style. The sound mixing on the unearthly voices makes them unintelligible and the writer has trouble making female characters seem like real people instead of cardboard cutouts. I’ll try again in a couple years if it’s still going and see if he’s improved at all.
