Wanted to like it.
I really wanted to like this podcast. I am just not a fan, his voice is not my favorite. With that I understand we have to work with what we are given. Maybe some broadcast lessons could come in handy. I purchased the book on Audiobooks, reading the description not listening to the excerpt. Immediately when I heard his voice I said to myself“ Crap! “ I had it for several months trying to listen to it’s many contradictions. My main one is where Rob talks about reducing the amount of stuff and objects in his life to live more simpler. But all he can talk about on his podcast is his sponsors and all the great stuff they give him, or how he has to have this jacket or these socks, and the rant about running underwear. He didn’t know how he was going to race without them! What the heck is running underwear. Nobody needs that! After listening to the Podcast I decided Rob is the guy who shows up to the start line with $5000. Worth of stuff strapped to his body. And would love to take ultra running and have it mock the ways of NASCAR. That’s definitely never been what it is about. I’m glad he is able to make some money off his excursions. But dude less is more!
