Description
This week, Laura speaks to travel journalist Simon Parker about his world cycling expeditions and his exciting career so far.  In 2016, he cycled and sailed from China to London for a documentary. That was his biggest challenge until lockdown in 2020, when he completed a 3,500 mile cycling expedition around the UK, which he’s now written a book about. Simon’s reported from more than 100 countries in his career to date and talks about some of the highlights, as well as where he's going next and the types of stories he likes to cover. Simon talks about his struggles with anxiety and depression during his cycling expedition around the UK, as well how travelling during the pandemic in this way enabled him to witness this moment in history from a unique and privileged perspective.
