Excellent till the last couple of episodes.
The insights into Balanchine’s approach and treatment of dancers was fascinating, as were the episodes on Peter Martens and the black dancers who led the way in having the ballet world recognise their ability to contribute. But the “gendered dance blah blah blah” episode - really, what was the point? Pas de deux expressing views about gender? Acknowledging the difference between the strength required to do lifts (and therefore capacity to do them) is an acknowledgement of physical differences between the sexes, not a display of power/strength of one “gender” over another. Give me a break. Unrelated to the rest of the episodes and quite boring.

I love this story and the production is excellent. If you love Serial or The Line, this is even better!

Told in such a great way and brings light to a very secretive world .
