Must listen for all pregnant women in the uk!!!
As a mum who is trying to avoid the negative experiences of the first birth, this podcast has been invaluable as a source of good evidence based practice that is presented in a way that’s easy to follow and understand. It has helped me navigate the nhs maternity system, giving me confidence to fight for the birthing plan of my preference. It helped me to not be intimidated by consultants who tried to scare me with skewed statistics. It’s also helped me educate my birthing partner so that we are both on the same page when it comes to the birth plan. Birthing options that could have been denied to me are now available because I knew who to talk to, what to say and when to say it. I wish I’d discovered this podcast in my first birth. I would have avoided a lot of unnecessary interventions. I am incredibly grateful for this incredibly informative podcast.

Sallyann gives practical, helpful and invaluable advice in digestible bites that will go a long way in getting you ready to be the best birth partner you can be. Rooted in her own experience as a doula, this is not advice based on theory, but hands-on experience. A definite must!
