Show notes for this episode can be found here.  Dr. Ranjith Ramasamy Dr. Ramasamy (www.ranjithramasamy.com) is the Director of Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery as well as an Assistant Professor of Urology at the University of Miami. Dr. Ramasamy completed his undergraduate degree at Rutgers University in 2003; completed his medical degree at Rutgers University Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 2007; completed a urology residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medical College in 2013; then completed a fellowship, sponsored by the NIH, in Male Reproductive Medicine and Microsurgery at Baylor College of Medicine in 2015. Dr. Ramasamy has been integral to the advancement of the field of male reproductive medicine and surgery. He has published over a 100 peer-reviewed articles and authored several book chapters on the topic; is on the  editorial board of Urology and the Journal of Andrology, as well as a member of many other journals and societies; and has presented his work at over 25 national and international conferences from the United States to Indian, a remarkable feat considering that he only just completed his formal training two years ago. Dr. Ramasamy is also the founder of a company called Uro-Logic that created an app called Urology Flashcards that has over 10,000 users and that is available for free in iTunes and on Google Play. Of note, Dr. Ramasamy is a former television news anchor also having made appearances on the hit ABC series NY Med as well as ABC Nightly News to talk about foods with aphrodisiac qualities.
