Show notes for this episode can be found here.  Dr. Leal Herlitz Dr. Herlitz is an Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist and the Director of Medical Kidney Pathology at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Herlitz completed her undergraduate degree at Swarthmore College in 1999; completed her medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2004; then completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical pathology followed by a fellowship in Renal Pathology both at Columbia University Medical Center by 2009, where she remained as faculty prior to joining the Cleveland Clinic in 2014. She is board certified in both anatomic and clinical pathology. She also engages in collaborative basic science and clinical research and is an author on over 50 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. She has recently assumed leadership of the pathology thread at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine with the goal of helping to highlight pathology as one of the career paths open to medical students.
