“Abby, thank you for opening up about your loss. I related to you while you were sharing as I have had a similar experience. I lost my grandma, LaRae, in January and she was an identical twin also. She and her sister had matching names-LaRee and LaRae-like your grandpa and his brother. They were funny, hardworking, stubborn, and loved life. My grandmas built homes nextdoor and lived their lives side by side. Their bond was so incredibly special!!! I miss them everyday. Grandma Ree passed about six months before Grandma Rae. They both had early onset Alzheimer’s for the last 10-15 years of their life so I lost them more slowly but nothing can truly prepare you. I just wanted to share a bit of their story and let you know you are not alone. I find immense comfort in my faith and testimony at this time and I hope the best for you along this journey.
