“Love the podcast!!! I’m 25 now but my parents never wanted to lie to us about the Easter bunny or Santa or give Santa all the credit for presents and things but still wanted the “magic of Christmas”. so the magic of Christmas was Santa but they never called it Santa and we never got big presents from it, it was just traditions to wake up to. For example we would wake up to our stockings full and a huge pool floating in the pool and all our presents from family magically appeared over night and it was just “the magic of Christmas”. We never got presents from the Easter bunny but we would wake up in the morning and our furniture would be upside down or the silverware would be in different drawers, it was like Easter tradition to wake up to a prank, but never said it was the Easter bunny. With all of that to say, we always woke up excited on holidays but never had the feeling of being lied to. I liked the thought of Santa but always knew deep down it was my parents because they never said “oh Santa filled your stocking” or the “Easter bunny did that!” I know I’ll be doing these things with my kids!”
