Gave me confidence
I listened to just about every episode during my 2nd pregnancy. My first baby was born via C-section due to breech presentation (which I didn’t know until I was being wheeled into surgery). I had gone into labor a month early and put way too much trust in medical staff instead of listening to my own body. I related to so many of these stories and learned so much about how to advocate for myself. I switched providers for my 2nd pregnancy, they seemed supportive of my TOLAC my whole pregnancy until I was in labor at the hospital. The doctor told me I had 3 options: go into a c-section to “end this now”, start pitocin, or go home. (I was 4cm, having painful contractions but fine, baby was perfect, and I just wanted more time without drugs.. nope!) I used the knowledge I learned from this podcast to advocate for myself. May have hid in the bathroom crying for an hour 😅. I did get my VBAC but even during delivery what I learned from this podcast was in my mind. I was able to ignore the nurses advice for blue faced pushing and continued breathing and letting my body do it’s thing. It didn’t go perfectly, as it rarely does; but the experience was so much better due to the knowledge & confidence I gained from stories & this podcast. I am so lucky to have 2 healthy babies and recommend this podcast to everyone. Especially first time moms!

My first c section was in August 2019. I recently found this podcast and I find these stories so healing and inspirational. I am so pumped up to get pregnant again and try for my VBAC! I hope I can share a successful VBAC story on the show in the future. Thanks for educating the world on VBAC.

I have to say I am HOOKED on this podcast and have been binge listening whilst preparing for my own vbac. Lots of positive VBAC stories married with facts about vbac in a range of scenarios. Love, love, love! Keep up the good work ladies!
